Long story short, the owner of the trailer that they where leasing to own has filed for bankruptcy, the trailer has to be sold. No ifs, ands, or buts! James and Val have to turn it on on Sunday 9/5. This is not due to any fault on their part, they are victims of circumstance.

They have done some research and with the help of the Vegas Foodtruck Community I know you won’t let us loose this Bombilicious Truck! I have 9,000 followers on twitter not to mention the followers of the other foodtrucks. We need $10,000 for them to put down on a truck and they can keep on Smokin’ in the Desert! $1 a follower on Twitter that’s all I’m asking. I could go into all the awards and good deeds that they have done! We wouldn’t of had #4sqdayvegas without their hookup with Plant World and the food drive for @Threesquarelv. But like I said I don’t have the time and neither do they!

This year The Las Vegas Tweetup wanted to focus on helping small business via Tweetups. Being that I love to eat, and the Foodtrucks being the new phenomena to hit the streets here in Vegas it just made perfect sense to team up with them for Foursquare Day! A couple of years ago I met Monique Harris of @Children1stNV (she’s still adjusting to “The Twitter” couldn’t resist the Betty White) and when was enlightened to what @Children1stNV does as a mother who has 4 girls (don’t gasp you guys know we have 5 kids between us aka blended) I started thinking what if, what if one of my girls found themselves in this position (not that I haven’t tried to install the fear of me in them like my Mom did to me, feisty little mexican, or teach them right from wrong aka abstinence) where would they turn?

Did you know that on any given day there are over 300 unaccompanied homeless youth, in Clark County alone. Let your mind do the wandering . . .

Bright Light City Is Gonna Set This Tweetup On Fire!

The night started when they opened the doors we where greeted with a photographer who took mine and @Migpascual ‘s photo we fell behind the rest of the group for a moment. Then there was an open bar and yummy fried Macaroni cheese balls with a spicy cheese to dip into that danced on our taste buds.

We where entertained by the DJ set from Eclectic Method, with videos bites and edits from The Sound of Music Do Re Me, to Dee Lite’s Groove is in the Heart and appearances from the Simpsons.

My throat is sore from screaming… @Baratunde was a great host for the evening he entertained us all night long. Pete Cashmore of Mashable is so Adorkable (I so stoled @kristlinas ‘s word adorkable) no other man could miss a step down and still be so Adorkable.

Here is one of the laughable quotes from @Baratunde “Apple is dreaming of new ways to take your money.”

There was only one disappointment of the evening, and that was that @Twitter was not there to accept their award for “Break Through Website Design.” The crowd proceeded to shout out @FailWhale…

@Foursquare won for the Best Location Based Service! “Foursquare, the mobile location-based service, had a year of tremendous growth that paved the way for other location-based services, including Facebook Places.” – @Mashable

Congratulations @Hootsuite for Best Social Media Management Tool. Angry Birds received the award for “Best Mobile Game” and the Gentlemen in front of me caught one of the flying angry birds that flew into the audience.

Now on to Android! I am an Android and love my #EVO yet I hate the battery! It died shortly after I took this video.

Since I am one of those born and raised in the Las Vegas Valley I felt like a little kid in a candy store.  The Steak House has pictures of my old time Fav’s Kirk Douglas aka Spartacus, Elvis, etc… Then we went to the 30th floor where Elvis use to reside while here in Vegas.

If you couldn’t tell I’m kind of going with an Elvis theme here and in the old days The Hilton was His stomping grounds.  Perfect fit!
