Long story short, the owner of the trailer that they where leasing to own has filed for bankruptcy, the trailer has to be sold. No ifs, ands, or buts! James and Val have to turn it on on Sunday 9/5. This is not due to any fault on their part, they are victims of circumstance.

They have done some research and with the help of the Vegas Foodtruck Community I know you won’t let us loose this Bombilicious Truck! I have 9,000 followers on twitter not to mention the followers of the other foodtrucks. We need $10,000 for them to put down on a truck and they can keep on Smokin’ in the Desert! $1 a follower on Twitter that’s all I’m asking. I could go into all the awards and good deeds that they have done! We wouldn’t of had #4sqdayvegas without their hookup with Plant World and the food drive for @Threesquarelv. But like I said I don’t have the time and neither do they!

So let me tell you why I’m so in love with the mobile eateries  here in Vegas! It’s the wonderful people who run them and their passion about their delicious unique food.

If you asked me which Gourmet Food Truck is my favorite I couldn’t tell you, I love @BBQBoyLV ‘s outgoing, friendly, inviting personality not to mention the wonderful aroma coming from his truck!

@SnOwONOShaveIce is a great testimonial for me and the power of social media in building relationships. I met Marianne via Twitter, and then Facebook, before we even met in person she had hired my daughter who has been looking for a job for a year now. We had a phone conversation regarding her being a part of #4sqdayvegas. But that story will be part of another blog post. All I know is @SnOwONOShaveice is it for Shaved Ice Hawaiian Style in Vegas! Must Try Rosewater…

@Sloppijos was my first Foodtruck experience I was raised on Hatch New Mexico Green Chiles, my favorite items on her menu are fried mac-n-cheese w/ pulled pork in the middle with green and red chilli sauce, her Sloppi Jo is pulled pork with a fried egg on top, carmelized onions and a tortilla, I will stop because I pretty much love her whole menu..

@Topnotchbbq my favorite things are the Cincinnati Chilli Cheese Fries, and their BBQ’d baked beans with sliced hot links, and, and, and….. Let’s just say when James says he is Smokin In The Vegas Desert it ain’t no joke…

@Lulusonthemove I tried their Dirty Chips yummmm pulled pork, black beans, Chris and Chris are going to have to help me out with the white topping that has jalapenos, they are a definitely going to be a Tasty force to be wreckoned with on the Vegas Streets.

@Curbsidecafelv I really need to eat one of his hamburgers! I am in love with the Calamari Tacos a must try for sea food lovers.

@GrouchyJohns took care of my caffeine addiction all day with frappe’s, iced coffee, and a must try honey latte.  Keep up the fight against the evils of bad coffee boys!

We’ve been working with Eleanor Prior (AKA @TheLVTweetUP) for some time about her AMAZING idea for a 4sqday event. As you can tell she is passionate about food, passionate about Las Vegas, and passionate about social media, so we thought it would be best if she told the story in her own words. This year The Las Vegas Tweetup wanted to focus on helping small business via Tweetups. Being that I love to eat, and the Foodtrucks being the new phenomena to hit the streets here in Vegas it just made perfect sense to team up with them for Foursquare Day! A couple of years ago I met Monique Harris of @Children1stNV (she’s still adjusting to “The Twitter” couldn’t resist the Betty White) and when was enlightened to what @Children1stNV does as a mother who has 4 girls (don’t gasp you guys know we have 5 kids between us aka blended) I started thinking what if, what if one of my girls found themselves in this position (not that I haven’t tried to install the fear of me in them like my Mom did to me, feisty little mexican, or teach them right from wrong aka abstinence) where would they turn?

Did you know that on any given day there are over 300 unaccompanied homeless youth, in Clark County alone. Let your mind do the wandering . . .

While I was in @RetroBakery @BevBaldwin all the way from Michigan came in with her family on their way to California. So I pulled out the Kodak zi8 and the following 3 or 4 vids are our rant and rave!

My daughter also loves the glazed donut one! My fav is the Strawberry Banana. Don’t miss the animoto I did also to Tempt and Tease Your Taste Buds with the ButterCream! I brought my two big girls Madeline and Sunnie in with me and of course totally embarassed them when I checked in on Foursquare and then took their picture to add to my GoWalla Stream.

I Love, Love Transformers and getting to drive Bumblebee was Sweet! Beautiful machine..

Attendees got to go joy riding in all of the new Chevrolet models and to top it off Chevrolet had a fantastic spread of  gourmet finger foods and delish deserts.

The highlight of the evening was when all of the guests got to go into the exhibit hall and see all the beautiful new models and Classic models on display..  This was the highlight of my evening my first car was a Corvette Orange 1972 Monte Carlo with Black Interior… Yeah my dad thought I was a boy giving a 16 year old girl a 8 cylinder power horse, I still don’t know what he was thinking I tore that puppy up!

They also gave Jay Leno a gift that night and when his gorgeous Camaro was unveiled so was he.

The only bummer of the evening was I had not a drop of liquor in my system and I fell for now reason on my chunky tush busting my Flip Mino… No worries I’ve upgraded to a Kodak Zi8..
