So I will start:

My Love affair with Twitter started when I was in the process of completing my Internet Marketing/Social Media Marketing Virtual Assistant courses with Vaclassroom last October 2008.  So my why is pretty simple it is very important part of my business.

It became even more important when Kim Doyal aka The Wordpress Chick suggested to me to buy the domain name “The Las Vegas Tweetup!”  I Fell even more in love, you could say “Madly in Love” with Twitter then.  The relationships that have been created because of the Las Vegas Tweetup are Priceless.

I’m a Virtual Assistant specializing in Social Media Marketing, Internet Marketing, and Wordpress.  I enjoy helping Businesses, and Business owners with their “Statregic Social Media Marketing Plans,” along with training them on how to maintain it or maintaining it for them.  A few of my favorite tasks are to create a Fan Page in Facebook, turning them in to Twitaholics by showing them how to maneuver on Twitter.

One of the Sweetest features of  Tweetspinner is “Scheduling” tweets to automate your Twitter account.  You can schedule = continually repeat an activity over time automatically.

It’s Follower Manager component has sophisticated filters to  target specific audiences you are interested in following.

Hootsuite Hoot!

There are so many “Suite” things about  Hootsuite that make it my “Suite” Twitter home away from Twitter.

One of my favs is the “Hootlet” a “Suite” tool you drag to your toolbar, that allows you to tweet about a cool site without even going into Twitter.   Here is a video demo:

But that is just the beggining, multiple accounts, team workflow, track statistics, multi-column view, tabbed layout, create groups, embed columns, feed your RSS, Ping.fm intergration, schedule Tweets, quick search, view user info, and report spam.

For us bloggers “Feeding our RSS” is a great feature I have it set to tweetup up to 4 times a day when I make a new blog post.

This is just a quick over view of  Hootsuite, it has so many endearing qualities.  The FAQ and How to’s are abundant as you can tell from the demo videos I have shared.

So go set up your Hootsuite Hoot!  You’ll think it’s “Suite” to!

Twitpic is photo sharing for Twitter

If you are on Twitter you already have an account on Twitpic.  All you have to do is go to Twitpic and sign in like you are signing into you Twitter account.

Once you are logged in you have a few options:  Home, Public Timeline, Upload Photo, Settings, and Logout.

Home of course shows your photos and comments on your photos.

Public Timeline is public photos and comments

Upload photos is easy,  you just upload the picture of your choice, if you choose to you can comment on it and click on upload.

You can upload photos from your phone by sending an email to twitpic and using the subject line for your comment on your photo.   You can set it up in Settings.

Twitpic is very user-friendly and fun to use for photo sharing.  Go get your account today and start sharing your pix on Twitpic.  I plan on using it at the next tweetup on September 9, 2009.

Twitversation For Your Website: Tweetboard

Twitter Tools to Save You Time

Twittering, tweeting, tweeple….we’re at the start of a whole new dictionary that starts with “tw”! Some of you may be heavy into Twitter already and others may not even have signed up. I’m a recent adopter myself, but I’ve learned a few neat tricks that make my Twittering much more user friendly.

TweetLater is a great resource that allows you to input multiple updates at one time, to post at future times of your choosing. So instead of needing to log on and update all day long, you can just go to TweetLater, post a day’s, week’s or month’s worth of updates, and they’ll all go up with no further effort on your part. Now sometimes you’ll want to post instant updates, like that you’re sitting at a cafe in Paris or something. You can still go to Twitter direct to do that, or, even better go to:

ping.fm, where you can link up all your social networking sites, so that one post goes up instantly across them all. No more logging into FaceBook, updating a message, then going to Twitter, then to LinkedIn, etc. You can do it all at one time on ping.fm.

Also in your Twitter arsenal should be TweekDeck. This super handy application loads onto your computer and it will tell you anytime someone is tweeting about you, recommending you or re-tweeting what you post. How cool is that?! And if you click the little magnifying glass at the top of Tweetdeck, you can input the names of other topics you’d like to follow. I my case, I used the little magnifying glass to follow any tweets with the words “public relations.” Now they pop up automatically.

Experiment and try some of these timesaving tools to make your time online more productive and fun!

Your Virtual Girl Friday is “Your Go 2 Girl 4 All Your Virtual Needs.” A Virtual Assistant specializing in Social Media Marketing and Internet Marketing.

So you are probably wondering whyYour Virtual Girl Friday decided to start  The Las Vegas Tweetup.  It was actually Kim Doyal’s idea aka The Wordpress Chick , Kim had just had her first Tweetup for the Sanfrancisco Tweetup and she said you should see if  anyone has bought the domain name for Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Hilton became the home of  The Las Vegas Tweetup because of  a conversation on Twitter… between myself @Vagirlfriday and @PeterArceo our twitversation was about the Tweetup that @unmarketing held here in Vegas @ Diablos.  Peter proceeded to tell me he was going to hold his own tweetup, I told him I had the domain and was looking for a home for The Las Vegas Tweetup, and the rest is history. @RobertGaines rounds out our trio.  Peter and Robert took me on a tour of the Hilton property.

Since I am one of those born and raised in the Las Vegas Valley I felt like a little kid in a candy store.  The Steak House has pictures of my old time Fav’s Kirk Douglas aka Spartacus, Elvis, etc… Then we went to the 30th floor where Elvis use to reside while here in Vegas.

If you couldn’t tell I’m kind of going with an Elvis theme here and in the old days The Hilton was His stomping grounds.  Perfect fit!
